i'm-in love with this Song

feeling so-avril Today

Between nonstop flights with complaining passengers and massive flight delays I managed to celebrate Christmas Eve with my dearests here in Dubai. From Munich then London with my eye bags with the size of Jupiter somehow our Christmas group picture looked great. Or maybe because I was not in the center. Truly, Christmas rush always gets the best of me but then it's all worth it in the end. I can't help but feel nostalgic remembering my early Christmases when I was young. Mom and Dad playing Santa with gifts overflowing under the Christmas tree, Honey-glazed ham that I can't get enough of, us-kids competing who gets the most awesome presents. Now as adults, the meaning of Christmas is different. For me, it's the best time of the year to reflect about life and be grateful for all the blessings, the challenges and achievements as the year draws to a close and most of all  to celebrate Jesus Christ's birthday.

After our simple Christmas dinner,  feasting over original stuff from home, and playing like fools with Pinoyhenyo (Genius-Pinoy in English, a modern version of charades) indeed Christmas is best time spent with family and loved-ones. Thank you Scheduling for giving awesome roster!

My Christmas 2012

If only I could stay longer....

Finally, I've seen Paris in winter with its gorgeous Christmas decorations. Mind you, I've brought all my knit-wear and wool clothing taking preparation to winter quite seriously. Thank God my suitcase just made it to the allowable  weight.
Lucky indeed to have found people who were brave enough to explore the cruel weather otherwise I will definitely go nuts. The second tour was even better since we found one local crew who was so nice to give us a tour - Local style. We did not waste our time getting lost and quarreling in which tourist area to visit first. The Metro ride in Paris is not easy but became such an easy task because of Anne.
My first exploration of Paris gave me the opportunity to see the Basilica Sacre Couer, the Moulin Rouge, the Notre Dame, the Champs Elysee, the Grande Roue de Paris, Arche de Triomphe and of course the Eiffel Tower. We were so happy to experience the Christmas market as well. I bought some stingky delicious sausages, wine and crepes and perhaps eaten more than 10 pains chocolat during breakfast. Oh well, this is Paris.

I am definitely looking forward to see the Louvre next time... hopefully during Summer...

    Merry Christmas to all!
From Paris back to Dubai! :-)
