How to Attend a Wedding with an Infant
1. Bring lots of patience with you.
2. Anticipate that you will not be able to eat at the wedding. So eat well before you leave.
3. Bring a chaperone. So there's someone to carry the heavy stuff you bring for the baby, and the wedding present. Ah, at least you can sip lemonade the whole time.
4. Always pose for pictures because that's the only way you can have your picture taken not using your phone. Then just ask yourfriends to tag you.
5. Apply long-wear foundation. So no need to retouch. Just re- apply lipstick constantly, right after you change a diaper.
6. Arrive early at the venue so can get the best convenient table/ or least bargain for one for you and the baby. Leave early too. Before you ran out of diapers.
7. Just smile all the time. Fake it till you make it. Baby is happy. Your friend-bride whom you have not met in almost two decades is happy to see you too.

I love long drives. I learned that it's who you're with that makes or breaks the trip. Travelling with my younger brother is such a joy ride. He crack us up all the time. Never a dull moment. But our labor day road trip was without my brother. Instead I was travelling with the Senior Citizens. Hah. Dad and aunts. It was like a trip of constant bewilderment. I will never drink coffee ever again.
