#reminder

The weather is getting extremely hot. I just sit for a minute and I feel a stream of sweat running down my back. I don't want to use AC 24/7 but somehow maybe we need to consider since having a baby around with this kind of weather is not pleasant. He cries and wails inconsolably. Poor thing.

Summer in Dubai has kicked off as well. We are coming back in the full swing of scorching heat. I miss my old life somehow. There were times before I sleep when flashes of yesterday comes knocking in. "What if", can get a little bit dramatic. It can be a little dangerous as well to get to that part. Life has a lot of twists and turns. I am beyond grateful for having my husband and my child. If I chose career I am not sure if I could be just as happy as I am now.

I miss work. A part from being a mom it's just as important to have your own identity outside the home. I love being a parent. I never knew I could love this much. Seeing him smile at me just melts my heart like butter. I love being a wife. I love being in a serious and committed relationship. I'm a hopeless romantic who loves anything corny and mushy . My husband got me with his cheesy heartfelt old-school love letters and tugging along to everywhere I go like a helpless puppy. But being good at something you do before all these other stuff came in the mix is also extremely significant to ones's identity as an individual.

I have this immense desire to excel in what I do. I guess I am guilty from putting too much pressure on myself, whether it's being a mother and a wife and also as an employee or whatever it is that I decide to do.

I am waiting for something.

Cheers to the Weekend!

Oh yeah. I am a mom.

This boy.

What were I thinking when I initially thought to leave my child here before joining my husband just so I can come back to work. It's heartbreaking enough to see him cry when I was out of his sight. What more to miss his distinct baby smell that just instantly lift my spirits up.

No doubt this stage is the cutest and most fun. This little boy loves to talk and listen to stories. I think he finds it fascinating to watch our mouths move and hear the sounds they produce. He started grabbing anything I put into my mouth. He's very excited to put those taste buds to good use. What a lovely little fellow. Sometimes I still find it hard to believe I have a child now 'coz it certainly feels like just yesterday I was worried I would end up alone. And seeing how God has blessed me with more than I could possibly imagine is indeed a great testimony of His Great power.

Motherhood has changed me. Not all days are easy-breezy but certainly it's one of the greatest gift to be able to have someone to call your own.

Tuesday :Pretty pretty please

I just came back from a gruesome LA flight. I had not seem him for more than a week. At the back of my mind that was it. " I' m breaking up with him, this relationship is not going anywhere. " We met the next day. He booked a hotel and asked me to walk on the beach when evening came. We sat on the sand . Just when I was about to say something stupid, he popped the question and put out the ring. I was speechless. I had no idea he's been planning it all along. I was embarrassed from my initial plan. A year passed, and now we have this incredibly handsome little boy who smells like milk and pee, oh my. How I love my boys to bits. I can still vividly replay on my mind that magical day. All I ever wanted.

Monday : Something New

White sneakers

I'm ditching the stilettos from time to time, motherhood simply has away of changing me for the better. Now I'm learning to glide on flat surfaces.

Saturday : oh Hollywood #style #innovators

Lauren Conrad

Well, I wasn't a big fan of hers during the Laguna Beach days but I gotten to like her on The Hills. She isn't actually my type in terms of beauty 'coz I got a thing with brunettes like Natalie Portman, Mila Kunis and Angelina Jolie. But there's something about her style that makes her the ultimate girl next -door. And oh how delightful her Instagram account is. She is very accomplished with her business endeavors and really she's becoming this new generation -Martha Stewart. Her website is like a one-stop shop for everything girly and useful, and practical not to mention beautiful.

Guilty Pleasures

So when bebe is asleep mommy gets glued on the tv. Hah. As much as I hate to admit this, I am getting embarrassingly addicted to :

1. Big Rich Atlanta on E! ( Damn it Ashlee! I hate your guts but watching you is kinda entertaining)

2. 19 Kids and Counting on TLC ( I like the Duggars.)

3. Asia's Next Top Model Cycle 3 on Starworld . (Team Philippines of course!!!! But I like Barbara from Japan and Aimee from Singapore! )

4. Candidly Nicole on Starworld. ( Hilarious! Hilarious! Hilarious! )

5. Tea with Cake Boss on TLC. ( I dream of cakes even in my sleep)

I tried to watch some other shows like Keeping Up with the Kardashians but seriously, sometimes they are just too much. Like The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

I like CI. Anything from Medical Detectives, Wicked Attraction and Fatal Vows but No No No to Celebrity Ghost Stories or Ghostly Encounters.

15 Habits of Highly Successful People #productivity #popsugar

For some, success can come pretty naturally, but for others, it's something they struggle with every single day. Either way, it's important to remember that willpower can play just as big of a role in how much a person prospers as natural ability does. Some of the most successful people to have ever lived were not the smartest or the richest, but the people who had the most perseverance. Luckily, these habits are ones you can strive to practice every day to become the most successful version of yourself.

1.Wake up early. After all, Benjamin Franklin did say "early to bed and early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise."
2.Have a morning routine. Whether it's working out, making breakfast, or doing the crossword, it's good to start your day off with structure.
3.Plan your entire day. Creating and maintaining a daily schedule will make sure you stay as productive as possible.
4.Don't procrastinate! Waiting to complete tasks can lead to unnecessary stress and cause you to lose focus.
5.Make time for personal projects. Work is important but so are the projects that you're personally passionate about.
6.Read and/or watch the news. This will help you remain well-informed so that you can connect with others.
7.Make time for physical activity. A healthy mind equals a healthy body and vice versa.
8.Make lists. This is the easiest way to stay organized while making sure you're fulfilling all your responsibilities
9.Focus on the positive. Nothing good can come from dwelling on the negative.
10.Review your short-term and long-term goals regularly. By doing this, you can prioritize your goals to become more efficient and productive.
11.Have a mentor that you can observe and consult as often as possible. No woman is an island.
12.Keep a notebook or journal handy. This is a great way to help you track your progress with projects and goals.
13.Be open to feedback and constructive criticism. Looking at your work from a different point of view could help you notice flaws you wouldn't have otherwise.
14.Don't overthink things. Your gut instinct is probably right, so why fight it?
15. Step back and reflect on your day as a whole. It's important to try different things but also understand what routines and habits work best for you.

Friday FYI : Fitness

From 67kg down to 50, a few more toning up to do and yeah pre-baby body is almost back. My younger cousin who gave birth and now is enjoying her 16- month old baby girl complains nonstop why she won't lose the baby weight. I only see her twice a month but I guess her lifestyle just doesn't help. She is working and has a nanny. I told her I am willing to help to get her back in shape. Nothing comes instant nowadays, perhaps only instant noodles. I started making small changes in how I eat and do mild exercise since I had a CS. But once I have felt empowered from the changes I started noticing it gets more exciting. Anyone can start small and yield Great results. I started with this guide and in 4 weeks I fit in my skinny jeans. #truestory

Let's do this

Since I had neglected this blog for a while now since I had a baby, from now on I will try to update as much as I can. Writing is very therapeutic and it has always been my go -to place to find some clarity. With or without readers, I will consider this place my home for my thoughts, for pictures I wont share in Instagram let alone Facebook. Fb has become so crowded that there's no more room for privacy and sometimes decency.People ended up sharing even the tiniest bit of personal information they have that sometimes make others like myself cringe. Oh no. So I guess, I will start brand new here. Here goes:

Monday--- Something New ( everything I consider new that i want to try, to do, etc)
Tuesday---Pretty Pretty please ( anything i find pretty)
Wednesday -- Me,Myself and Motherhood
Thursday----- Throwback : A walk down Memory Lane ( of course!)
Friday---------Trivia ( FYI )
Saturday----- Oh Hollywood
Sunday--------God is Good

Waking Up

Sometimes it's easy to get caught up in the constant  hustle and bustle of life that we forget to be thankful for what we have. We go through each day thinking that everything is just going to be just as mundane and ordinary like yesterday. Oftentimes we get busy comparing notes. Checking others accomplishments, level of happiness and material possession.  Only in the end we realised they are not the ones that matter.
Last week, I encountered something big. I was left paralysed with that thought.  Love is such a strong word. Love for your parents,  love for your partner,  love for your child. This incredible,  magical thing that leaves you grasping for air.
Family. Health. Faith.  Without these how can anyone function?  I was moved completely by how life can slip so suddenly.  It's indeed a precious gift. Dear God, if I have forgotten how much I am grateful for the life you have given me,  I'm sorry.
Thank you for all your provision, for tucking my loved-ones each night for a good night sleep and giving us a brand new day to wake up to. You are a wonderful amazing God, I am so loved by you. I can't do anything without you.

offline

One thing that I hate most about being in the Philippines is the internet connection.  I availed the so-called 'fastest' and yet writing here is now becoming an impossible task. I have little time considering my precious bub is always asking for boobie. I wish there's a way to get a better service.  It's really depressing unable to watch anything online. I had too much of CI and Starworld on cable.
